HISTORY

Located on the magnificent Amalfi coast, this 17th century building belonged to a Neapolitan shipowner had purchased in the 1930s. It was originally a large rural farmhouse with a small chapel.

Two centuries later, it was renovated by the nephew of the old owner, Carlo Filippo d'Amico  with the architectural firm Nos Design, based in Rome.

The intent was to adapt the Villa to the current lifestyle without eliminating traces of history.

And despite important works, the house has in fact preserved its character, made of vaults and arches, and the ceilings of the small chapel are adorned with original frescoes.

Villa Vettica has thus regained its splendor without falling into ostentation.
